User-Experience Design and Web Development

"I am committed to creating enjoyable and memorable interactive experiences that inspire others."

~ Jessamyn

Introduction

I'm a graduate student at the University of Michigan's School of Information, specializing in Human-Computer Interaction. I earned my undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of Michigan in 2005. My career goals are user-experience design, user-centered research, and information architecture.

What You'll Find in This Portfolio

In this portfolio, you will find information about my various research projects in user-centered design. Two of my projects completed for internships are also described in my public e-Portfolios for the Life Sciences Institute's Center for Chemical Genomics and the UM Health Sciences Scholars Program (HSSP).
Under the web design tab, you will also see examples of my experience developing websites.

During the summer of 2009, I interned as a web developer with HSSP, and was subsequently rehired to update and maintain the official HSSP website.

Employment Goals Following Graduation

I graduate in April, 2010, and at that time, I plan to begin work as a full-time user-experience researcher and designer.

As a user-experience researcher and web developer, I am committed to creating and developing enjoyable, inspirational, and memorable interactive experiences for clients and customers.
